Day 1008 2013: the last family Christmas

Today is Saturday. Today, I went for a walk in the woods with my dog on a path that runs along the river. I described to Matt when he called what it looked and felt like.
It’s a double edged sword. He loves to hear about these kind of things; but, it also makes him sad and frustrated that he is not home.
I love my son. He thinks people are honest, decent and reasonable like him. Sadly, those who hold power are mostly self-serving cowards.
The last time we spent Christmas as a family was 2013 in Canada. I hope all who were involved in this injustice have a memorable Christmas.
The stars are out tonight and they are still incredibly beautiful regardless of life’s pain.

Tis the season. Pay forward with some kindness to a stranger.
