Day 1002 Change

Today is Sunday. Today, I went with Paul to see a Christmas show with an Irish band. The best part of the entire show, the audience singing Christmas songs. It felt like a community that has been missing for a very long time.
Today, I was inspired to get working on Christmas cards for my caged peeps and those who just need a bit of love and encouragement.
I always say no one gets enough encouragement and I find that to be the case with most people I meet. Very few have charmed lives.
Today, I read in the local newspaper that my city is working very diligently to eradicate homelessness. The facts are that free housing is much cheaper than services to take care of homelessness. Once people are housed, the stats show that everything seems to move toward the positive. I am very proud of the Coalition to End Homelessness and the people who are working hard to accomplish this.

To answer the question of a friend, “No, I am not putting up a Christmas tree or decorating.”

Don’t be weary of doing good or supporting those who are doing good things. It’s slow going; but, some things are changing.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

peace my friends.
