Day 729 a heart for the suffering

Today is Saturday. Today, I stopped at a beading business north of me. The woman who ran it is lovely and refined. She opened her business after retiring. I discovered through a wonderful chat that she enjoyed teaching classes about beading in the prison. She said she found the inmates kind and decent people.
What frustrated her was the lack of consistency to have classes. She would come in and then be asked to leave because class was arbitrarily cancelled by the prison staff.
She finally had to give it up. I could see it bothered her.
The point for me is that I have met a number of people here who recognize the suffering of those in the prison system. That gives me a sliver of hope that some changes can be made.
I received a letter from my young autistic friend who is in a private prison. He is so appreciative of any little thing I do for him.
I will not ask for money; but if you feel moved to help financially for stamps, books, food, I would be most willing to accept your partnering as the numbers grow. I try to do something once a month for them between the letters and art cards. These caged people share with each other.πŸ˜‰πŸ˜€
