Day 707 Okinawa

Today is Friday. Today, I learned about an older man who was on the ground during the invasion of Okinawa. Sixty thousand marines lost their lives in that war. This man always requests prayers for peace. He despises war.
I find it sad if not interesting that anytime I mention peace or the fact that I am a member of Veterans for Peace, eyes roll or I am ignored. When did peace become an uncomfortable word?
Matt prays for peace every night when we end our phone calls.

I’m still not feeling up to par. I wish peace in your life because war can come in a variety of forms.

Peace.
