Day 607 How I define patriotism

Today is Monday. Today, I thought about the idea of patriotism. Patriotism is not a frenzied waving of a flag or the making sacred a country’s anthem despite what dictionary definitions say. It is not the worship of a country; but a devotion to what makes up a country.  I don’t believe people serve their country based on the sod; but they serve with other people in mind like family, friends, community.

Thank you to all the real patriots who are not blinded, who see the serious ethical and moral problems of their country and choose to protest, to fight for positive change, to speak out for those without a voice.

God bless and preserve the compassionate, the merciful, the truth seekers and truthtellers.
