Today is Thursday. Today, my son got some extra minutes this month for Christmas. He is always grateful for small things like this after spending time in “the dungeon” with brown recluse spiders.
Tonight for my act of kindness, I made a spaghetti dinner and a red velvet cake for dessert and served it to a small group of ladies. Some women who live very tough lives showed up. They were truly touched and told me they felt very special.
What a rush..:) There’s something profoundly rewarding in caring for and serving people, especially those who struggle so much in this world.
Some people never get pampered. It doesn’t take much to show a bit of humanity.
Speaking of humanity, there is a petition going around for Chelsea Manning. She’s not asking for a pardon, just time served. Can we not do that incredibly simple task of signing our name and helping this human being get a precious gift this Christmas…freedom?
If you do one act of kindness for a stranger this week, sign this petition for Chelsea.
I know my son would if he could.
Thank you and peace friends…
